Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing and leading accounting and administrative support to the Accounting Department at Nippon Steel & Sumikin Bussan Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will maintain accounting document files, including daily work, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as provide general administrative support to the Management and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, process, and record daily account payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Review and record banking transactions for corporate bank accounts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review and handle account receivable collections, communicating with customers and resolving any issues.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger and bank accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintain monthly and year-end closing, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Generate reports and lead/assist financial audits, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Respond to vendors and other departments with questions, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Maintain files, including accounts payable documentation, accounts receivable receipts, and other miscellaneous filings.
  • Communicate with the corporate accountant for questions and/or assistance, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with Accounting or related major; or two to four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Master in Accounting and/or CPA is a plus)
  • Professional work experience in Accounting (more than 3 years)
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
