Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Participate in team conferences and family conferences as needed, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to Departmental Development: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the occupational therapy service area.
  • Participate in Continuing Education: Pursue ongoing education and training to maintain professional competence and stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
  • Supervise Students and Volunteers: Supervise occupational therapy students and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the clinical setting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, Certificate, or master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care, with a strong background in occupational therapy.
  • Licensure: DC (District of Columbia) licensure or eligibility, with the ability to maintain necessary continuing education for licensure.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, with the ability to obtain other certifications as required by the position.
