Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering anesthesia and managing sedated procedures.
  • Set up continuous rate infusions and perform medical calculations.
  • Place intravenous catheters and initiate fluid therapy.
  • Position patients for radiographic imaging while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Deliver compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
  • Prepare and administer blood and plasma transfusions.
  • Maintain precise treatment records and anesthesia logs.
  • Monitor vital signs using capnography, pulse oximetry, ECG, and blood pressure devices.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: CVT/LVT/RVT certification or a minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience.
  • Strong understanding of anesthetic monitoring techniques.
  • Experience in processing laboratory specimens.
  • Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal physiological parameters.
  • Commitment to mentoring and training veterinary assistants.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and dedication to building long-term relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to exceptional client service.
