The Program Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of each child, maintaining clear communication with the YPlay Coordinator, and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. This position also requires managing supplies and inventory on-site, participating in program activities and meetings, and supporting staff training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate supervision and safety of children at all times
  • Maintain effective communication with the YPlay Coordinator
  • Implement designated curriculum and enrichment activities
  • Oversee YPlay Center Attendants and assist with scheduling duties
  • Facilitate training for new staff on best practices
  • Uphold organizational policies and procedures
  • Develop positive relationships with parents, children, and team members
  • Assist in the management of supplies and inventory

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Experience in child care settings
  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

  • Complete New Hire Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention training
  • Acquire CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within the first month of employment

Work Schedule:

Part-time schedules may vary based on operational hours, including weekends and evenings.

Work Environment:

This role may involve standing, sitting, and lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds. There may be exposure to communicable diseases and outdoor environments.
