Our facility is equipped to handle an impressive capacity of 5.3 million tons of premium steel grades, catering to various industries including automotive, construction, and HVAC.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Steel Process Engineering Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective technology, leading projects aimed at optimizing process and product capabilities, and improving quality and productivity within our highly automated Hot Dip Galvanizing lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance process and product capabilities, focusing on throughput, cost efficiency, and environmental performance.
- Provide technical support across all Hot Dip Galvanizing units and report performance metrics to senior management.
- Develop and refine inspection and testing methodologies to drive performance and functionality of process models and control systems.
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment while maintaining a strong commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Hot Dip Galvanizing Process Technology field.
- In-depth knowledge of steel mill processes and HDG technology.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, including heat and mass transfer, combustion, and metallurgy.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced technical knowledge of Hot Dip Galvanizing processes and flat carbon products.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, including design of experiments.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment:
This role will be based in an office and industrial setting, requiring flexibility in hours to accommodate peak workloads.
