Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping children and families cope with medical procedures, diagnosis, and bereavement. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a positive and supportive environment for our young patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provides developmentally appropriate education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatment options.
- Offers emotional support to help patients and families cope with stress and anxiety related to their healthcare experience.
- Maintains certification in Child Life by attending professional development webinars, workshops, and conferences.
- May assist in reviewing applications and conducting interviews for Child Life students and serve as a mentor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Education, Recreation Therapy, Child Development, or related field.
- Professional Child Life certification through the Child Life Professional Certification Examination (CCLS).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $21.27 - $31.91 per hour.
