Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Center Nurse to join our team at InterMed, P.A. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the operating room and surgical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, document patient information, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Nursing Interventions: Prioritize nursing interventions to provide safe and effective patient care, and maintain accurate records of patient care activities.
  • Perioperative Care: Demonstrate knowledge of anesthetic techniques, surgical procedures, and patient safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient perioperative experience.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions, and maintain open communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain expertise and provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Successful completion of a registered nursing program, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • Experience and Certifications: Previous experience in ambulatory surgery or operating room settings, with certifications in ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent professional judgment, assessment skills, and decision-making abilities, with a caring and compassionate demeanor.
  • Schedule and Work Environment: Per diem schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-4:30pm, with no weekends, nights, or holidays.
