Responsibilities:- Provide family-centered healthcare utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to deliver state-of-the-art care to all patients.
- Practice family-centered nursing according to policies and Nurse Practice Act.
- Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.
- Supervise, plan, evaluate, and coordinate patient care provided by other licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies.
- Perform therapeutic procedures and assist with diagnostic procedures required for the care of the patient.
- Administer medications, including controlled substances, by all routes.
- Administer blood and blood products.
- Respond appropriately to emergency patient situations.
- Start IVs.
- Perform activities of daily living.
- Perform basic life support and management of arrest situations.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the state of Alabama.
- Two years of professional nursing experience.
- Licensure with the state of Alabama as a registered nurse.
