Position Overview

Role Summary

Essential Qualifications:
  • Completion of High School or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability and willingness to operate induction and/or torch brazing equipment.
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments (such as verniers, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Willingness to obtain certification for Induction and/or Torch Braze.
  • Understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts (including conversions to decimal and geometry).
  • Visual acuity assessment required upon job offer.
  • This position is limited to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpretation of blueprints and process documentation.
  • Setup and operation of induction, soldering iron, and torch brazing tools.
  • Utilize equipment to heat metals and apply brazing/soldering materials.
  • Employ cleaning devices (such as Vapor Blaster & Ultrasonic Cleaning).
  • Use tinning acids and fluxes, preparing specific areas for tinning.
  • Assist with prototypes or initial builds as necessary.
  • Basic understanding of thermal control principles.
  • Cross-train with colleagues based on knowledge and experience.
  • Accurately complete all required labor tracking documentation.
  • Adhere to internal process specifications and third-party standards (including audits and customer requirements).
  • Report issues to the appropriate resources or supervisors.
  • Actively seek to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Understand and adhere to GE Leadership behaviors.
  • Engage in and support team initiatives.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with the operation of blasters, cutoff saws, air leak fixtures, etc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing context.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 1-2 lbs. continuously, up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Continuous use of hands and fingers in repetitive tasks.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and balancing.
  • Ability to sit continuously; occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.

Compensation for this role is $19/hr, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary/commission.
