Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the nursing process and delivering patient care within a psychiatric unit of a healthcare facility or in community environments.


Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage medication, conduct blood draws, perform nursing assessments, and provide patient care in accordance with state regulations.
- Process medication orders and ensure accurate transcription to the Medication Administration Record (MAR), oversee medication procurement from the pharmacy, and maintain the Medication Room in compliance with agency standards.
- Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and weight, and perform blood draws as per program guidelines.
- Collect urine samples as required, ensuring adherence to nursing standards throughout the process.
- Ensure the clinical record's integrity through timely and precise completion of all necessary documentation.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the team and patient care.


Minimum Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in the state of practice.
- Preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric care environment.
- Adherence to relevant professional standards of practice.
- Completion of the competency program as mandated by the organization.
- Current CPR certification, if applicable.
- Compliance with health screening requirements as per state regulations.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
