Position Overview:

The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse at Saratoga Hospital is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients requiring intravenous hydration and medication administration, including Immune Globulin and Monoclonal Antibodies.

This role involves educating patients about their conditions and treatment plans while participating in quality assurance initiatives.

The RN operates both independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients with diverse and intricate health needs.

Our ideal candidate will have specialized training in infusion therapy and demonstrate outstanding patient care and communication abilities. Previous experience in infusion therapy is highly desirable, and certification through the Infusion Nurse's Society (INS) is expected within two years.

Key Responsibilities:
• Insert peripheral IVs
• Access and de-access central venous implanted ports
• Perform catheter de-clotting
• Conduct central line dressing changes
• Administer Monoclonal Antibodies and Immune Globulin, along with various other medications
• Monitor for side effects and manage acute infusion reactions
• Conduct therapeutic phlebotomies
• Provide education to staff and patients
• Stay updated on advancements in IV therapy and medications
• Assist with evaluations of new products as needed
• Carry out additional nursing duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Licensed to practice in New York State
• Previous outpatient experience is preferred.

Compensation:
$50.37 per hour
