Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Job Summary:

The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic services to enhance students' communication skills, promoting their academic success and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students across all grade levels.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual and group settings, focusing on areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to integrate speech-language goals into classroom instruction and activities.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy interventions as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and strategies to support student learning.
  • Train and support teachers and parents on effective strategies to promote communication skills in the classroom and home environments.
  • Stay updated on current best practices, research, and tools in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Oregon SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
