About the Opportunity
Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Palliative Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our experienced Advanced Practice Providers to provide supportive and palliative care consultations to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, and perform procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety, adhering to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participating in ongoing medical education and training.
Requirements
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Medicine
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Compensation and Benefits
$121.63 - $127.71 /hour
