Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Tech II to join our team at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Radiology Diagnostic department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality X-ray images and supporting activities while maintaining safe radiation practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, healthcare personnel, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with patients' clinical history to ensure accurate documentation and availability for licensed independent practitioners.
  • Perform routine and difficult diagnostic imaging procedures using technical expertise of equipment and procedure protocols.
  • Assist licensed independent practitioners with interventional procedures, including time outs according to policy.
  • Complete and verify accurate informed consents, perform venipuncture, and start and maintain intravenous access as prescribed.
  • Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures, proactively assisting patients, families, licensed independent practitioners, and visitors as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have successfully completed an educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT.
  • Must be proficient in all fluoroscopy and specialized exams, including surgery within 6 months.
  • Must have and maintain ARRT (R) licensure and state licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines.
  • BLS certification is required.
