Cardiac Nurse PRN Opportunity

As a PRN Registered Nurse in the Cardiac VIP unit, you will be part of a team that provides expert care and exceptional outcomes to patients from all 50 states and 135 countries.

This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding unit and discover Cleveland Clinic's Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. As a PRN RN, you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to cardiothoracic, spine, urology, plastics, colorectal, orthopedics, neurology, bariatric, and transplant surgical patients.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions as appropriate.
  • Prepare patient care plans and administer prescribed medications.
  • Perform bedside hand-off reports and thorough bedside daily rounds.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) certification is required for Critical Care areas.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required for SNF care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience required for rehab care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
