Job Title: Security Officer

We are seeking a professional and motivated individual to provide customer service while ensuring the safety and security of Commercial Buildings in the Houston area.

Job Summary:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring and patrolling premises and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
  • Maintain departmental security procedures while patrolling various areas, including building lobbies, floors, parking garages, loading docks, and perimeters.
  • Control traffic in the loading dock and monitor materials entering or leaving the area.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
  • Maintain the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
  • Observational skills, ability to deal with uncertainty, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity, safety management, and professionalism.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb multiple stairs, respond to emergencies promptly, and lift heavy objects.
  • Experience is preferred but not required for some accounts; a valid ID/DL is required.
