Oversees shipping activities and team members to ensure compliance with established shipping processing and quality assurance standards, while managing budgetary constraints and providing detailed information regarding product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
Implements short-term strategies aimed at maintaining processing efficiency and balance, including shift planning, material requisitioning, machine loading, conflict resolution, and equipment upkeep.
Collaborates and integrates with various plant departments to ensure alignment in achieving output, productivity, and quality objectives.Recruits, organizes, trains, and inspires the processing workforce to consistently meet processing schedules at optimal productivity and cost efficiency.
Suggests enhancements in processing workflows or methodologies.Ensures the effective application of operational methods and procedures designed to mitigate operational challenges and enhance product quality.
Advises on modifications to machinery and equipment to improve processing and product quality.
Fosters a safe working environment for all employees and manages relationships between regulatory agencies and plant staff.
Must be open to working 2nd shift.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or 2 to 5 years of proven experience in shipping management. A High School Diploma (GED) is mandatory, with a preference for a bachelor's degree.
