Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at EControls. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical building systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance
    • Perform routine physical inspections of HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and early detection of issues.
    • Utilize Building Management System (BMS) to monitor equipment performance and adjust system settings as needed to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Repair and replace faulty equipment, including motors, pumps, air compressors, fire alarm, sprinkler, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Perform troubleshooting and commissioning of MEP systems, small project management, and other functions as assigned.
  • Preventive Maintenance
    • Ensure all Preventive Maintenance procedures are documented, scheduled, and performed according to OEM or AEM recommendations.
    • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of AHU's, RTU's, chillers, cooling towers, and other facilities-related equipment as assigned.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Provide guidance and supervision of contractor/vendors for all maintenance and repairs of the HVAC-related equipment and systems.
    • Develop and ensure high levels of service standards for the facility equipment as well as exceptional inter-departmental collaboration, communication, and support.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure all safety, environmental, and site standards are strictly adhered to within the facility by both company and any vendors performing work.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, all applicable building codes, and policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates technical knowledge of HVAC and building systems.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience as an HVAC or MEP Technician preferably in an industrial or complex central plant environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to identify issues and help develop strategic and/or tactical plans for issue resolution.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
    • Ability to work both independently and with others.
    • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.
