Job Summary

Detailed and accurate inspection of products is crucial to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. As a Detail Inspector II at StandardAero, you will be responsible for determining and documenting the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul. Your attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints will be essential in ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine and document the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul
  • Ensure products to be inspected are sufficiently clean and in acceptable condition to perform inspections
  • Determine the repairability of products not meeting applicable requirements
  • Record inspection results on appropriate documentation
  • Generate estimates on cost of replacement parts and labor necessary to complete work instructions
  • Generate documentation for repair of unserviceable products
  • Inspect and identify parts in Reduced to Spares (RTS) process
  • Supervise detail inspection trainees in on-the-job training (OJT) process
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes
  • Cross-train in other complementary skills and seek endorsements as needed
  • Move between production assignments as needed to support production requirements
  • Participate in cross-training of other technicians as needed
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions
Requirements
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in proper use of precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledgeable in and ability to identify and interpret conditions on products resulting from service operation
  • Ability to use and interpret publications used in production process (graphs, charts, schematics, blueprints)
  • Working knowledge of functions and operation of products being inspected
  • Proficient in technical writing
  • Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems
  • Ability to complete Detail Inspector Training & Development Plan
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of average work day
  • Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods
