About the Role

Valtir LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our Galvanizing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical/electrical repairs on various types of equipment, including cranes, furnaces, heating systems, and pumps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Use your knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics to identify and resolve issues with plant equipment.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Operate Mobile Equipment: Safely operate scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, cranes, and other mobile equipment to perform job tasks.
  • Complete Work Orders: Thoroughly complete individual work orders in a timely manner, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Working Environment

The Maintenance Technician III will work in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment, with conditions that can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.

Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess sophisticated knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics, with the ability to use this knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment.
  • Experience: Have experience with repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Tool Operation: Be able to operate various electric, pneumatic, and other hand tools.
  • Height and Confined Space Certification: Be able to work at high heights and become certified for fall protection and confined space.
  • Teamwork and Attendance: Be able to work individually and as part of a team, with reliable and predictable attendance.
