Job Title: Clinical APRN

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical APRN to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering world-class cancer care.

Job Summary:

The Clinical APRN will work closely with our physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with various types of cancer. You will be responsible for conducting thorough physical and psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies
  • Determine eligibility for clinical trials and relay relevant information to collaborating physicians
  • Administer therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as prescribed
  • Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with summaries of treatment, response, and plan
  • Document and report care in a timely and accurate manner using appropriate forms and records
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive high-quality care
  • Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed
  • Triage patients to determine urgency of physician evaluation
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a master's degree in nursing or post-masters nurse practitioner certificate program
  • Current license/registration to practice in the state of Florida with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply
  • Certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation (ONCC)
  • BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience with the ability to direct others toward objectives contributing to successful patient treatment
  • Analytical skills to evaluate patients' status, healthcare procedures, and techniques, and to monitor quality of patient care
  • Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue
