Job Description

At IR Management LLC, we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining top-notch quality standards for every dish served.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all dessert and baked items listed on the menu with consistency, following our Standard Recipe Card without relying solely on memory.
  • Adhere strictly to standard portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality standards, and kitchen regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain consistency.
  • While showcasing your creativity, ensure you refer to the Daily Prep List and Closing Checklist at the beginning and end of each shift to organize your tasks efficiently.
  • Keep your work station clean and sanitary, following all DHEC regulations for cleanliness, including tables, shelves, equipment, and refrigeration units.
  • Promptly notify the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef of any product shortages, equipment issues, or food quality concerns.
  • Actively participate in all scheduled staff meetings and contribute suggestions for enhancements.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Pastry Chef or manager-on-duty.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in kitchen preparation and pastry work.
  • Basic knowledge of professional cooking and knife skills with a willingness to learn advanced pastry techniques.
  • Display positive energy, assist fellow team members, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend basic cooking instructions and communicate clearly with managers, colleagues, and guests.
  • Flexible availability to work mornings, days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capable of prolonged standing and walking with occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
