Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Experiential Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing experiential therapy programs in various treatment areas. You will work closely with interdisciplinary staff and community resources to provide a comprehensive treatment experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiential therapy sessions as scheduled, evaluating and planning programming to meet patients' needs.
  • Maintain a safe and well-supplied Experiential Therapy environment.
  • Be flexible with work assignments, including schedule changes and program additions.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of various experiential therapies.
Documentation and Treatment
  • Complete treatment plans and evaluations according to Rogers Behavioral Health policy.
  • Document therapeutic sessions according to Rogers Behavioral Health policy.
Patient Knowledge and Safety
  • Demonstrate knowledge of intervention strategies and utilize redirection when necessary to maintain patients' safety.
  • Monitor patient behavior and safely intervene appropriately, using de-escalation techniques and least-restrictive measures possible.
  • Establish a therapeutic rapport with patient groups, while maintaining appropriate, professional relationships.
Education and Training Requirements
  • A BS/BA degree in a relevant field, such as art, music, dance, or recreation, is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certification or registration through a relevant credentialing board is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification is required within 30 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
  • Formal training in managing aggressive patients is required within 60 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
