Automotive Parts Specialist with Expertise

Martin Automotive Group is a leading dealership in Bennettsville, offering a range of automotive services and products. As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping customers find the right parts for their vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:- Assist customers in selecting required parts, suggesting complementary items, and providing special offers to enhance their experience.
- Pull purchased parts from stock, determining availability and communicating expected delivery dates to customers.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information, capturing customer names and contact details.
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup, ensuring seamless logistics.
- Verify 'will-call' and 'back-order' files weekly, returning items to vendors or restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with the parts-to-service counter sales associate to provide exceptional customer service.
- Order parts not in stock, approved by the Parts Manager, to ensure a comprehensive product line.
- Notify customers and the Service Department when parts arrive, facilitating efficient repairs.
- Process cash and credit payments, maintaining an accurate cash register.
- Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the parts department, ensuring a professional environment.
- Receive and stock incoming inventory, verifying receipts against purchase orders.
- Participate in periodic inventory cycle counts as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, and appealing to customers.
- Complete all training as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to work effectively with diverse customer groups
- Familiarity with servicing motorcycles and other dealership products, or ability to quickly learn
- Experience with point-of-sale and computerized inventory systems, or willingness to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, professional appearance, and strong work ethic
