Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise and leadership abilities to:

  • Conduct comprehensive design tasks and oversee support personnel.
  • Manage technical elements of land development, including site feasibility assessments, detailed grading, and stormwater management design.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to evaluate designs and ensure project completion within budgetary and time constraints.
  • Ensure technical precision and adherence to standard engineering practices across all plans and reports.
  • Perform site investigations and due diligence, reviewing relevant ordinances and regulations to establish development guidelines.
  • Prepare concept plans aligned with client objectives and findings from due diligence.
  • Lead the design and review of stormwater management systems, collaborating with team members.
  • Assist in evaluating design tasks, ensuring safety and value engineering through thorough analysis.
  • Design utility systems, addressing potential conflicts in service lines.
  • Prepare and review stormwater management calculations and related documentation.
  • Identify challenges, assess alternatives, and propose solutions to both peers and management.
  • Support the technical review of regulatory permits and documentation.
  • Work autonomously while also guiding other engineers in a collaborative environment.
  • Adhere to company standards for AutoCAD procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
  • An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification is required.
  • 4-8 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in land development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • The capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local land use regulations and processes.
  • Technical expertise in stormwater management and site development design.
