Key Responsibilities- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and administer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen effectively according to certifications.
- Pool Supervision: Provide undistracted supervision of the pool while on duty, demonstrating vigilant scanning and adhering to pool rules and policies.
- Rescue and Emergency Procedures: Understand and perform rescues and emergency procedures, documenting accidents and communicating with the Aquatic Director or designee in a timely manner.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and store equipment, ensuring the pool deck and surrounding areas are clean and free of clutter.
- Public Relations: Engage in positive public relations with participants, members, and guests, ensuring a positive experience.
- Pool Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool, reporting any concerns to the Aquatic Director or designee immediately.
- Training and Development: Attend and actively participate in all trainings, staff meetings, and guard drills as assigned.
- Role Modeling: Serve as a role model in pool safety, adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Current Oxygen Administration, AED, Ellis Lifeguard License, and swim lesson instructor certifications are a plus.
- Flexible hours available to include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Pay $14.00-$16.00/hour.
- Free individual YMCA membership for employee and discount for family.
- Pre-employment drug screen and clear background check required.
