Job Title: Seasonal Mover/Laborer

Studdard Moving Group is seeking experienced movers and laborers to assist with customer moves. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading furniture into a van, driving the truck to the designated destination, and loading or unloading furniture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the van to the loading point and consult with the household on the furniture to be moved.
  • Provide directions for moving articles to the van.
  • Load the truck, distributing weight evenly, forming a compact load, and utilizing space.
  • Drive the van to the destination and unload the cargo.
  • Obtain the customer's signature or collect payment for services.
  • Service the van as needed.
  • Remove window frames and erect a block and tackle on the house to remove bulky items.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related training and/or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Commercial driver's license required.
  • Experience with tools, power tools, and ability to operate a forklift.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Good supervisory/management skills.
  • Ability to perform the job with limited supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • May require occasional travel.
