Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with various therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function/occupation and developmental disorders. You will demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the lifespan of patients served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function/occupation and developmental disorders.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs to meet the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental well-being of patients.
  • Promote patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
  • Coordinate efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
  • Act as a patient advocate.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of occupational therapy.
  • SNF experience preferred.
  • Rehab Optima experience preferred.
  • Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable).
Computer Skills

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and basic Internet navigation skills are required.
