Job Title: Diesel Engine Technician
Job Summary:
The Diesel Engine Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes checking and replacing oil and oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, and coolant levels. The technician will also inspect and replace brake pads, rotors, and drums, as well as check and change transmission fluid and differential fluid at recommended intervals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine checks and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
- Check and replace oil and oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, and coolant levels
- Inspect and replace brake pads, rotors, and drums
- Check and change transmission fluid and differential fluid at recommended intervals
- Use a fuel additive to clean injectors and protect the system from corrosion
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with diesel engines and tanker trailer repair
- Familiarity with diesel maintenance and repairs
- Valid driver's license and insurable
Work Environment:
The Diesel Engine Technician works in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced technicians. The technician will be required to work in a well-lit and well-ventilated area, with regular breaks and a clean and safe working environment.
