Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or manager in a highly technical and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of three years of current MRI Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/MRI Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered MRI Tech/Radiology Tech Iowa state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
