Position Title: Aircraft Maintenance Specialist II
***Candidates must possess an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI)/Yankee White clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance to be eligible.***
As mandated by our governmental client, applicants must be US Citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for all H-60 aircraft maintenance operations, including Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), Functional Check Flights (FCF), and recovery missions at remote sites, which may involve flying as a passenger to conduct necessary maintenance.
- Ensure the aircraft is maintained in a safe, reliable, and operational condition through various maintenance activities such as daily operations, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in fostering strong customer relationships while performing maintenance in accordance with relevant technical manuals and guidelines.
- Conduct inspections, services, and maintenance tasks to verify the airframe structure, engine, and components are serviceable and meet safety standards.
- Perform functional checks of fuel, hydraulic, avionics, and electro-environmental systems, ensuring compliance with maintenance manuals.
- Execute pre and post-flight inspections, including cleaning and servicing of aircraft.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues affecting aircraft operability, ensuring all maintenance actions are documented and compliant with quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records, including logbooks and backshop documentation.
- Oversee tool inventory and ensure compliance with Aerospace Maintenance tool control procedures.
- Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and standards related to maintenance operations, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following local policies and environmental protection standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair, with at least two (2) years of NAVAIR/NAWCAD maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in utilizing technical publications and guidance for maintenance tasks.
- Experience with aircraft systems, particularly VH-92, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, including mechanics, quality inspectors, and management.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
- Avionics experience is required.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
