Pricing Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Pricing Specialist to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a Pricing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and driving a competitive global pricing strategy that aligns with our trade strategies.

• Provide timely spot quotation details (rates, operational costs) for cargoes outside of set parameters to sales/sales support teams and agents in line with the pricing framework
• Handle Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) filing requests and ensure we are FMC compliant on trade lanes
• Understand key drivers of Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Trade profitability, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop competitive pricing framework
• Gather and work with data in existing or new dashboards

• Minimum 2-3 years' Sales in global shipping or Trade or Logistics experience
• Familiarity with the U.S. Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) and Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) Regulation of U.S. Ocean borne import/export cargo
• Strong analytical skills, enjoys working with numbers/data
• Fluent written and spoken English

• A collaborative approach, with a pro-active, growth mindset
• Strong interest in global shipping, trading, logistics
• In-depth experience working with different cultures, ability to adjust communication, and build relationships in different regions
• An analytical, detail-oriented mindset and enjoys working with numbers/data
• Strong computer literacy in Excel, and PowerPoint and familiar with Power BI
