We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Armed Security Officer PRN to join our team at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform basic security duties and respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct routine daily tasks, including monitoring security cameras and responding to alarms.
- Operate a variety of equipment commonly used in the department, including radios and security systems.
- Conduct interviews and initial investigations of reported incidents, using effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve conflicts and address issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- College-level coursework in police sciences or a related field is preferred.
- Must be a commissioned Police Officer with the Overland Park Police Department at time of hire.
- A minimum of two years of law enforcement or equivalent experience is preferred.
Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center, and our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services.
