NICU Respiratory Therapy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Respiratory Therapy Manager to join our team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for overseeing the NICU Blood Gas Lab and the NICU and Pediatric Respiratory Therapy department.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and other governing bodies for the NICU Blood Gas Lab.
- Develop department goals and objectives, as well as employee engagement action planning.
- Provide expert support and guidance to staff members on current practices in respiratory care.
- Oversee the care of patients, ensuring high-quality treatment and support.
- Responsible for workflow management, ensuring proper staff levels and efficient department operations.
- Perform annual reviews with staff members, evaluating their performance and providing feedback.
- Create staffing schedules and ensure adherence to departmental policies.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with patients, relatives, physicians, managers, and other employees.
- Ensure departmental supplies and equipment are maintained and up-to-date.
- Implement cost-effective measures to prevent waste and optimize departmental resources.
- Interview and recommend new hires, ensuring the best fit for our team.
- Communicate departmental needs, problems, and other essential information in a timely manner.
- Assure clinical competency of staff members, providing ongoing education and support.
- Assist in collecting and tabulating PI data, contributing to our facility's quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values, upholding our commitment to excellence.
