Job Overview

Mack Studios, a renowned global design/build company, seeks a skilled Finish Carpenter to join their team. With over 50 years of experience delivering innovative display solutions, the company prides itself on exceptional design capabilities, rapid prototyping, and logistics expertise.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as a finish and/or trim carpenter, with a keen attention to detail and ability to read blueprints/drawings. Proficiency in utilizing common hand tools and power tools is essential, as is effective communication and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct custom projects using hand tools and machinery, adhering to precise specifications.
  • Set up and operate various carpentry machinery, including power saws, jointers, and edge banders.
  • Utilize hand tools to fabricate and repair high-density plastic laminate (HDPL) cabinets and other high-grade furniture.
  • Ensure materials match color, grain, or texture, and trim component parts to ensure snug fits.
  • Bores holes for screw or dowel insertion, glues, fits, and clamps parts together, and sands and scrapes surfaces for finishing.
  • Repair high-grade articles of furniture, equipment, and fixtures, and apply protective or decorative materials.
  • Install cabinetry components, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls, and complete countertop fabrication in plastic laminate and solid surface.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a finish and/or trim carpenter.
  • Aptitude for precision and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
  • Experience utilizing common hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to effective communication and function in a fast-paced environment.
