UnityPoint Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate RN New Grad to join our Med/Surg team. As a Med/Surg nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit.
- Consult with appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education and support to patients and families.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient and workplace safety by preventing errors, accidents, and infections, and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
- Promptly complete documentation to ensure an accurate legal record of patient care.
- Continuously develop and maintain professional skills and knowledge through ongoing education and involvement in professional activities.
- Diploma from an accredited RN program.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the primary state, with the ability to obtain licensure in the secondary state within 90 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
