Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at The Hiring Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead projects and drive business growth.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, design, and installation support for mechanical projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.

  • Provide mechanical engineering design and project management for assigned projects.
  • Lead machine design and adaptation engineering while applying design standards.
  • Manage mechanical contractors or maintenance installation teams during equipment modifications and installations.

You will also perform feasibility studies, create budgetary estimates, and bid packages, as well as interface with plant production and maintenance customers, other engineers, and suppliers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Current and continuous use of SolidWorks (AutoCAD or Draftsight 2D is also preferred).
  • Experience using a document management/Product Lifecycle Management system (or PLM) is required (Team Center being preferred).
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, piping, and fitting with design standards experience.
  • Must have English as a first language or a fluency level of B2 or greater speaking English.
