Job Overview

Dollar General Corporation is a leading retailer with a rich history of delivering value to shoppers. As a sales lead at our Miramar Beach, Florida location, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus.

The ideal candidate will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, clean the store, and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
  
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
  
• Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, cartons and totes of merchandise; stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
  
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom; and help set up sidewalk displays.
  
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
  
• Open and close the store under specific direction of the Store Manager.
  
• Perform additional duties typically performed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, in their absence.
  

To be successful in this role, you should have effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, understanding of safety policies and practices, and ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides. Additionally, you should possess basic math skills and be able to operate a cash register and scanner accurately.

This role requires frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. You may also be required to climb using step ladders and occasionally expose yourself to outside weather conditions.

We offer an estimated salary range of $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, Dollar General provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
