Compensation

$18-$20 per hour, part-time (minimum 25 hours per week)

Role Overview

The Public Engagement Specialist will play a pivotal role in promoting WECARETN's programs and services, ensuring community awareness and participation. This position requires strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with community members, stakeholders, and business partners.

The successful candidate will attend conferences and workshops, recruit guest speakers, organize events, and evaluate program effectiveness. They will also assist with marketing and outreach efforts, leveraging social media and email distribution lists.

Tabling/outreach and HIV testing coordination are integral components of this position.

Education and Experience
  • University/college degree is an asset but not required (Associates or Bachelors)
  • Facilitation and community advocacy experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency preferred
  • Virtual software experience preferred
  • HIV training certification
