Job Summary

Certified Nursing Assistants play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant in our Long Term Care Center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical duties as assigned by unit or hospital leadership.
  • Perform active therapeutic approaches, including range of motion, ambulation, and other activities of daily living, to residents with specific training.
  • Ensure residents have adequate supplies and maintain their surroundings in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Observe and report all unusual resident conditions or reactions to Charge Nurse.
  • Answer call lights promptly and attend to residents' needs, reporting to Charge Nurse when professional services are required.
  • Participate in intershift rounds and assist with caring for residents' needs as indicated.
  • Transport residents to and from activities, therapies, and appointments.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with and be sensitive to the needs of the elderly.
  • Protect residents' rights to dignity, freedom from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, as outlined in state and federal regulations.
  • Follow and perform all related unit-specific policies and procedures.
  • Utilize job and unit-specific equipment as required.
  • Demonstrate behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Expertise).
Requirements
  • Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program.
  • Valid Florida Nursing Assistant Certificate required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire.
