Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, some of which are complex in nature, utilizing advanced computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Develop and maintain intravenous (IV) access and utilize high-speed, pressurized injection equipment.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Be willing to rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams and maintain compliance with Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter all charges.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a Hospital or Clinical setting required.
  • 3 years of CT experience in a clinical Imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology in CT required.
  • Current state Licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Work Schedule and Type

Full-time position with a TBD work schedule.
