Job Title: District School Nurse

The Crook County School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of District School Nurse. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of students across the district.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review student records to identify serious health problems and provide recommendations for staff.
  • Develop medical protocols for students requiring specific procedures, including training and monitoring of staff.
  • Implement immunization requirements and manage delivery of school health services, including health screenings and environmental monitoring.
  • Provide interpretation of state laws regarding communicable disease and immunization laws, while maintaining confidentiality as required by FERPA and HIPAA.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Oregon RN License with appropriate endorsement and fulfillment of registration requirements.
  • Current concepts, methods, and procedures for curriculum development and implementation.
  • Laws, rules, policies, and trends regarding instruction.
  • Techniques in evaluation and assessment of learning and human development.
  • Behavior management and communication techniques.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated at $66,440 to $89,399 per year, depending on experience. The Crook County School District offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings options.
