Job Title: Registered Nurse - Administrative

LHC Group is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Administrative Field Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Long Term Care insurance assessments in a hands-off manner.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical reasoning and judgment skills, with the ability to assess ADL performance, cognition, and home safety. Additionally, they will be comfortable using point-of-care technology to document assessments in real-time.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Long Term Care insurance assessments in a hands-off manner
  • Obtain claimant demographics, physician information, and current medication lists
  • Evaluate claimant's functional level of independence
  • Complete brief cognitive screenings and evaluate ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks
  • Use point-of-care technology to document assessments in real-time
Requirements:
  • Current, unencumbered RN licensure in state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or 2 years nursing experience in an equivalent area of practice serving the older adult population
  • Has, or be willing to obtain, a professional liability insurance policy
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
