Overview:
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is actively seeking a Senior Accountant – SEC Compliance to enhance our corporate accounting team in Bensalem, PA.
Role Summary:
The Senior Accountant - SEC Compliance is a hybrid position reporting directly to the SEC Reporting Manager. You will play a crucial role in the preparation of the organization’s financial statements, along with monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for designated accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other necessary documents.
2. Contribute to the development of annual proxy statements.
3. Prepare journal entries and conduct account reconciliations for assigned areas.
4. Maintain internal controls for designated areas and analyze account variances.
5. Compile audit documentation, including requests for audit samples and records of internal controls performed.
6. Conduct research on new accounting standards and technical accounting issues, preparing memos on findings.
7. This hybrid role requires an in-office presence three days a week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field is preferred.
- CPA certification or intention to pursue CPA certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SEC filings and/or Wdesk is beneficial.
