About the Role:

As a Casting Technician at Path Engineering, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process, applying babbitt to raw materials using various methods. Your expertise in foundry equipment and tools will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our casting room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disassemble fluid film bearings
  • Set up spin casting equipment
  • Apply molten babbitt by static or spin casting method

Requirements:

  • Experience with foundry or casting room equipment and tools
  • Basic understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Tig welding and fabrication knowledge and experience
  • Ability to operate acetylene torch, furnaces, melting pots, and overhead crane
  • Experience working with routings, drawings, and process sheets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Demands:

The successful candidate will be able to work in an indoor casting foundry environment, lift and move up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks requiring stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, standing, and walking.
