Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for applications, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to meet the needs of the application
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and implement necessary modifications to ensure the stability and performance of the cloud environment
  • Collaborate with the application team and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs for the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline
  • Work closely with support and other technical teams to resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues that impact application behavior and performance
Requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cloud platforms, networks, security, data management, and deployment tools required to design and operate cloud infrastructure and build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, etc. and the ability to code automated scripts and infrastructure configurations to automate infrastructure and ensure repeatability and redundancy
  • Efficiently build and change manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines based on Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and other development methodologies
  • Demonstrate understanding of application requirements and design and recommend the best cloud solution and deployment process
What We Offer

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $88,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year, based on individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
