Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Givaudan Fragrances. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of liquid compounds, ensuring timely and safe production, and optimizing plant performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Supervise Group Leaders and hourly staff to ensure timely production of liquid compounds, organize staff and material flow to optimize performance, and assist Schedulers with prioritizing shop orders.
  • Quality Control: Work with QC to resolve manufacturing or material problems, adjust finished compounds to comply with Quality Control specifications, and investigate production non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and timely Production and Inventory records, ensure accurate reporting of production and inventory transactions, and coordinate with Warehouse to obtain on-time delivery of materials.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with operational safety, environmental protection, industrial hygiene, and GMP standards, coordinate removal of waste, and train staff in safety and standard operating procedures.
  • Staff Development: Develop staff, implement cross-training for staff to ensure proper techniques and greater productivity, and monitor performance and institute corrective action where necessary.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in production with exposure to quality and/or materials process management.
  • Prior Management experience strongly preferred.
  • College degree.
  • Strong SAP background.
  • Good knowledge of project management principles.
  • Production software experience is a plus.
