Oncology Opportunity in Illinois

We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at a hospital in Kankakee, Illinois. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information, including medical histories, reports, and examination results.
  • Manage and treat patients within the scope of practice, utilizing expertise in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
  • Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose patients' medical conditions.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress, reevaluating treatments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide reliable, high-value, and evidence-based medicine, supported by education and research.
  • Utilize electronic medical records to track patient visits and information related to the physician-patient encounter.
  • Expertise in Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding for Physicians is essential.
  • A full-time schedule of at least 40 hours of direct patient care is required.
  • Participate in on-call duties during the week and on weekends, as needed.
