As a Physician Assistant - Orthopedic, you will play a critical role in providing superior and innovative care for patients suffering from back and neck pain.

Job Summary:

  • Provide health care services to patients under the direction and responsible supervision of a physician.
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, record results, and make preliminary diagnoses or decide on follow-up procedures.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work, and interpret test results.
  • Identify short-term and long-term patient care issues to be addressed and provide information and recommendations and implement physician directives.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a four-year accredited physician assistant baccalaureate program and a year of clinical training, or
  • Completion of a two-year accredited physician assistant program (which, in turn, requires two years of undergraduate study) plus two years of clinical training following completion of PA program.
  • State accreditation based on certifying exam. Continued employment requires 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and passing a recertification examination every 6 years.
  • Experience in orthopedic field preferred.

Estimated Salary:$95,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
