We are seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join our team. This role involves various responsibilities centered around the packaging and handling of products in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently package finished products following established protocols, ensuring proper labeling and securing of loads.
- Assist in loading and unloading both bulk and packaged materials, performing necessary equipment checks and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.
- Verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality, conducting sampling as needed to ensure compliance with standards.
- Operate a range of plant machinery, including forklifts and other equipment, while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Accurately document packaging activities and maintain records in accordance with production schedules and guidelines.
- Manage inventory of returnable containers, ensuring proper maintenance and compliance with testing standards.
- Uphold 5S standards by maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Process waste materials in accordance with environmental policies, completing necessary documentation.
- Follow established operating procedures to ensure quality manufacturing processes.
- Record essential data and conduct in-process testing as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and in different weather conditions.
- Commit to safety, health, environmental, and quality principles in all activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through active engagement in process monitoring and data collection.
- Ensure compliance with current ISO and RC standards.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Up to three years of experience in a packaging or utility role, or equivalent industrial experience.
- No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to ascend stairs and move up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator and personal protective equipment as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others.
